Alleged burglar released on bail
A Sandys teenager has denied charges of breaking into a Southampton home and stealing jewellery.
Tyler Christopher, 18, of Bat and Ball Lane, pleaded not guilty to entering as a trespasser and stealing jewellery — a ring and a bracelet — from a Rosehill Road home in an incident last Friday morning.
He further denied violently resisting arrest on the same day.
Despite objections by prosecutor Carrington Mahoney, senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released Mr Christopher on $3,000 bail, with a like surety and conditions including that Mr Christopher wear an electronic monitoring device.
The matter is expected to return to the courts on June 25.
