Warwick man charged with possessing firearm
A 22-year-old Warwick man has been accused of possessing and handling a firearm.
Appearing in Magistrates’ Court this morning, Quincy Simmons was charged with handling a firearm without lawful authority in Warwick on May 29.
He was also charged with having a firearm in his possession without a licence on the same date.
Mr Simmons was not required to enter a plea because the charges are indictable and must be heard in Supreme Court.
Magistrate Archibald Warner granted $25,000 bail with one surety on the condition that Mr Simmons report to Police three times a week.
The matter was adjourned to July 29 for mention.
