Man, 21, denies importing cannabis
A Warwick man accused of importing cannabis will stand trial early next year.
Appearing in Magistrates’ Court this morning, Gary Simmons, 21, denied bringing 139.2 grams of the drug into Bermuda in St George’s on October 6.
He also denied possessing the drugs with intent to supply, as well as having digital scales fit and intended for the preparation of a controlled drug, on the same date.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo granted Simmons $5,000 bail with a like surety on the condition that he surrender his travel documents.
Simmons elected to be tried in Magistrates’ Court and a trial date was set for January 6.
