Teledo Breary, 35 or Tribe Lane, is accused of injuring Jamel Minors while driving his car on Point Finger Road on October 14 last year.
Mr Minors was left with a fractured left femur, lung contusions, two fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.
After pleading not guilty, Mr Breary was granted $3,000 bail by senior magistrate Juan Wolffe and ordered to return to Magistrates’ Court on March 7.
