A Pembroke man appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning to deny a charge of sexually assaulting a woman.

The 38-year-old defendant, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, allegedly committed the offence on December 4, 2015, in Devonshire.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released the defendant on $5,000 bail, ordering him to return to the courts on January 28 for the matter to be mentioned.

He was further ordered to avoid all contact with the complainant.
