Man charged in connection with murder
A man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Rickai Swan.
Taj Browne, 22, from Southampton, appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning accused of assisting someone who committed an indictable offence, specifically murder, to escape punishment.
Mr Swan, 26, was fatally shot last October outside the Southampton Rangers Sports Club.
Mr Browne, who was represented in court by Marc Daniels, was not required to plea as the matter must be heard by the Supreme Court.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released Mr Browne on $15,000 bail and a like surety on the condition that he surrender all travel documents and report to the Hamilton Police Station twice a week.
He is set to appear before the Supreme Court next month.
