Two men appeared in court this morning charged with a home invasion last week in St George’s.

Wakeem Philpott, 21, and Detre Ford, 23, were both charged with entering a Barrack Close home on July 1 as trespassers with a firearm and stealing a wallet and its contents. They were both further charged with possessing a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun on the same date.

Mr Philpott alone was charged with attempting to discharge a loaded firearm at Gregory Wade.

Neither man entered a plea in connection with the charges as the matters must be heard by the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded both into custody, ordering that they attend the Supreme Court arraignments session in August.
