Man denies threats and assault

A Devonshire man yesterday pleaded not guilty to unlawful assault and using threatening behaviour.
Koshun Simmons, 23, is accused of attacking Michael Carvelho in Pembroke on June 27, as well intimidating him on Point Shares Road in Pembroke and on Garthowen Estate Road in Devonshire that same day.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released the defendant, from Alexandra Road, on $4,000 bail with a like surety.
He ordered Mr Simmons to have no contact with Mr Carvelho until he returns to court for mention on August 24.
