St George’s man admits threats
A St George’s man who threatened a Harbour Light supervisor has been sent to Drug Treatment Court.
Appearing in Magistrate’s Court this morning, 50-year-old Stanley Davis pleaded guilty to two charges of uttering threatening words and one charge of threatening behaviour.
The court heard that the complainant was on duty on November 28 last year when he was informed that Davis, who had previously been expelled from the addiction programme, was on the premises.
He instructed him to leave, at which point Davis said: “You f****** dirty Jamaican. I’m going to f*** you up.
“I am going to rape your daughter and also your wife. I am going to kill you, your daughter and your wife.”
He then approached the complainant, threatening to hit him before repeating the offensive words.
The court also heard that Davis, who is presently attending Drug Treatment Court, has a history of violence, drug-related offences, burglary and offensive words.
However, Davis said in court that the offences were “totally out of character”, adding that he is not a violent person or a rapist.
While he said the incident started with the complainant “having a verbal outburst to me”, he added: “I chose to say things I regret and I apologise once again”.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded Davis to Drug Treatment Court on January 24.
