Man denies attempted murder
A Pembroke man this morning denied allegations of attempted murder and two firearms charges.
Appearing in Supreme Court, Gavaska Lodge-Bascome, 22, pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder, using a firearm to commit an indictable offence and unlawfully handling a firearm.
All of the offences allegedly took place in Pembroke on May 1.
Other than his pleas, Mr Lodge-Bascome remained silent throughout proceedings.
Puisne Judge Charles-Etta Simmons remanded Mr Lodge-Bascome into custody until the July arraignments session, when the matter is set to return to the courts to be mentioned.
