Pembroke man charged with wounding
A Pembroke man appeared in court yesterday accused of a stabbing on Front Street.
Trenton Williams, 19, was charged in Magistrates’ Court with unlawfully wounding Eric Thomas with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Mr Thomas suffered multiple stab wounds and a collapsed lung as a result of the incident in the early hours of June 8.
Mr Williams was not required to enter a plea as the matter must be heard by the Supreme Court.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released Mr Williams on $20,000 bail with a like surety, ordering that he wear an electronic monitoring device, abide by a curfew and report to the Hamilton Police Station twice a week.
