A man who led police on a high-speed chase throughout Pembroke has been disqualified from driving for more than a year.

Eugene Fubler, 25, pleaded guilty to a series of charges including driving in a dangerous manner, failing to stop for police and riding an uninsured vehicle in August of 2015.

He further pleaded guilty to charges of speeding and providing false information during a separate incident later that same year.

The court head that at around 5.30pm on August 22, 2015, officers travelling west on North Shore Road in Pembroke noticed the motorcycle in front of them, ridden by Fubler, had an out-of-date licence sticker.

They signalled for the vehicle to pull over. However, the rider instead performed a U-turn and sped away, overtaking a long line of traffic. The chase continued throughout Pembroke, with Fubler speeding through intersections, travelling the wrong way on a one-way street and narrowly avoiding a collision with a police motorcycle.

Fubler was fined a combined total of $3,350 and disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
