A Pembroke businessman pleaded guilty yesterday to failing to pay a former employee $4,000.

Robert Sousa, 64, owner of RJS Auto Marine Repair, admitted he did not comply with an Employment Tribunal order.

The company had been ordered to pay a former employee cash owed to him.

Magistrates’ Court heard that the amount of $4,000 had been agreed to by Sousa and the former employee.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo adjourned sentence until May 8.
