A woman was charged today with the theft of more than $100,000 from her employer in the space of a year.

Diedre Woolgar, 45, was accused in Magistrates’ Court with five counts of stealing from electrical firm Circuit Supply Inc and one count of false accounting.

Mrs Woolgar, of Warwick, did not have to enter a plea because the case will be heard in the Supreme Court.

It is alleged that Ms Woolgar stole a total of $109,945 from the company where she worked as office manager between March last year and April.

The Crown also claimed that Ms Woolgar falsified a document to claim a $108,085 deposit had been made into the company’s bank account sometime between March last year and May.

Mrs Woolgar was released on $80,000 bail and ordered to appear at Supreme Court in August.
