Police officer denies dishonesty charge

A police officer has denied charges of unauthorised access to police records and dishonesty.

Nicole Outerbridge, 32, was charged in Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday with two counts of unauthorised access to police records.

The offences were alleged to have happened on September 11 and October 2 in 2018.

Ms Outerbridge was also charged with failure to keep confidential information a secret on May 28 last year.

She faced another charge of giving false information about another officer, Lakila Hart, between June 25 and July 3 last year.

Ms Hart was charged on March 10 with two drug offences, three counts of unauthorised access to police records and two counts of instructing a colleague to collect unauthorised police information.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released Ms Outerbridge, from Hamilton Parish, on $5,000 bail and adjourned the case until July 27.
