A man who appeared in Magistrates’ Court to face assault charges was confirmed yesterday to be police officer.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said that Sean Kelly, a constable, had been suspended from duty in the wake of the allegations.
Mr Kelly pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to two counts of common assault, as well as allegations of intimidation, wilful damage and threatening behaviour.
