Trial date set for alleged pitbull attack

A trial date was set yesterday for a woman who denied responsibility for an alleged dog attack on a nine-year-old boy.
Chantelle Thomas, 46, will return to Magistrates’ Court on April 26.
Ms Thomas, from Pembroke, pleaded not guilty on December 9 to being in charge of a female pitbull-type dog named Cassie and a male pitbull-type dog named Cola that alleged to have injured Aston Jones-Williams.
The incident was said in court to have happened on March 21 last year in Pembroke.
Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe extended Ms Thomas’s $1,000 bail.
