A woman yesterday denied dropping an infant in her care, which resulted in a serious head injury.
Vernesha Symonds, 32, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court to causing grievous bodily harm.
The incident is alleged to have happened on October 26, 2018 at an island nursery.
The child and the nursery cannot be identified for legal reasons.
Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released Ms Symonds, from Warwick, on $3,000 bail and adjourned the case until March 15.
He also ordered her to have no contact with the alleged victim.
