Woman charged with stealing $700,000 from roofing firm
A Southampton woman is accused of stealing more than $706,000 belonging to a local company.
Bambi Lee Pimental, 51, is said to have stolen the funds from J W Gray and Company Ltd, a roofing, waterproofing and wall finish specialist, between June 29, 2016 and June 4, 2020.
The exact amount allegedly stolen was $706,436.
Ms Pimental appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning but was not required to enter a plea as she is to be tried in Supreme Court on indictment.
She will be permitted to enter a plea during the August 2 arraignment session.
Ms Pimental was released on $25,000 bail and her travel documents are held by the police.
