Man charged with sex assault on elderly woman
A 37-year-old man yesterday denied a sex assault on an elderly woman.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court to a charge of abuse of a senior citizen.
The offences are alleged to have happened on an unknown date between December 24 last year and January 2 in Warwick.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo adjourned the case until January 31 and released the man, from Warwick, on $5,000 bail.
He ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victim, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, and to report to Hamilton Police Station twice a week.
