Man admits setting fire to house and car
A man admitted last week to setting fire to a house.
Calvin Trott, 51, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court on Friday to setting fire to a home in Smith’s and destruction of the homeowner’s car.
The incident happened on February 28, 2020 on Fielder’s Lane. Trott, from Smith’s, was charged with the offence in March 2020.
Puisne Judge Juan Wolffe extended Trott’s $5,000 bail and adjourned the case until May 2 to fix a sentencing date.
He ordered that Trott undergo a social inquiry report and a drug assessment.
Justice Iris, 25, also pleaded guilty in to the wilful damage of two cars.
That incident happened on June 28, 2019.
Justice Wolffe also adjourned the case until May 2 to set a sentencing date.
