Man admits threatening to kill mother of his child
A 52-year-old man yesterday pleaded guilty to threatening to kill the mother of his child.
Maria Sofianos, for the Crown, told senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson that on Saturday August 20, Michael Albouy, of Pembroke, punched Chrystal Cassidy’s car window and told her: “I’m coming up your house to kill you.”
She said that Ms Cassidy was at Mr Albouy’s home when an argument broke out. When she decided to leave, Mr Albouy threatened her.
Mr Albouy was arrested and detained by police later that day and admitted threatening Ms Cassidy.
The court was also told that Mr Albouy has previous convictions dating back to 1994 ranging from trespassing to common assault and that he suffers from anxiety and clinical depression, but intends to get the help he requires.
Ms Anderson ordered a social inquiry report and a short-form mental health assessment be conducted for Mr Albouy.
She ordered that Mr Albouy have no contact whatsoever with Ms Cassidy and adjourned the case until Wednesday October 5.
