Man sentenced to probation for threats to kill mother of his child
A man who admitted threatening to kill the mother of his child was sentenced to 12 months’ probation yesterday.
Michael Albouy, 52, from Pembroke, pleaded guilty to the offence on August 23, when social inquiry and mental health reports for him were ordered and the case was adjourned for sentencing.
Albouy agreed to comply with the conditions of a probation order, which include abstaining from drugs and alcohol, submitting random urine samples when asked and staying away from people who may participate in illegal activities.
Magistrate Craig Attridge sentenced Albouy to probation and encouraged him to get the help that he required for his mental health conditions.
He warned Albouy that if he got into any more trouble during those 12 months, the sentence could be overturned for a harsher one, which may include jail time.
