Ten points for driver whose car flipped onto roof after hitting kerb
A driver whose car flipped onto its roof after it hit the kerb at a roundabout has had ten points added to his licence.
Roberto Mascarenhas, 50, from St George’s, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court this week.
The court heard that on July 3, Mascarenhas’ car hit the kerb at a roundabout on Southside Road, causing extensive damage.
Mascarenhas, who sustained slight injuries, told police that he was coming home from work and had fallen asleep at the wheel, which is what led to the accident.
Because no one else was hurt in the incident, he was not fined nor banned from the roads.
