A motorcyclist who collided with a parked van has been banned from riding motorbikes for six months.

Tynhai Suhuartono-Todd, 18, from Sandys, pleaded guilty to careless driving when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court this week.

The court heard that on November 9 last year, Todd tried to drive around a bus that was turning on to Sound View Road, Sandys, when he crashed into the van.

School students were in the van at the time, but none were hurt from the incident and Todd received minor injuries.

In addition to the ban, Todd was fined $750.
