Man who crashed bike admits driving under influence of alcohol
A Warwick man who struck a kerb while riding his bike in St George’s has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
Zidane Ming-Wilson, 21, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court last week.
The court heard that in October, police were called to a crash on Southside Road and saw Ming-Wilson and a woman in the middle of the road when they arrived at the scene.
Ming-Wilson told officers that he did not see the kerb while riding and admitted drinking before getting on his bike.
In addition to the ban, Ming-Wilson was fined $1,500.
