Man in court on charges against a woman and a girl
A 33-year-old man was yesterday charged in Magistrates’ Court with trespassing on a Pembroke residence and attempting to harm the female resident with a knife.
The Pembroke man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was also charged with intruding on a girl’s privacy in March.
The man was not required to plea to the attempted injury charge, which allegedly occurred in October 2022, as it must be heard in the Supreme Court.
He pleaded not guilty to intruding on the girl’s privacy.
The man is expected to appear in the Supreme Court on June 1 in connection with the first charge and will return to Magistrates’ Court on May 24 in connection with the second.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson remanded him into custody until that time.
