Woman pleads guilty to threatening former housemate

A woman who threatened to kill her former housemate will be sentenced in Magistrates’ Court next month.

Trimea Roland, 35, of no known address, admitted threatening Karl Outerbridge, stealing his phone and breaking a bottle in a public place when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard that Roland and Mr Outerbridge were housemates, in Pembroke, from 2020 until spring last year.

The court heard that on June 1, 2022, shortly after she moved out, Mr Outerbridge saw Roland walking towards his property.

She told him: “That’s my f***ing apartment and I will f***ing kill you!”

Mr Outerbridge gave Roland some food when she returned to the property three months later, the court was told.

He left the apartment while she was eating, but could not find Roland or his iPhone when he returned. He later found her and she admitted to stealing the phone.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson ordered court staff write reports for Roland and adjourned her case to July 3 for sentencing. Roland was remanded into custody.
