Man’s guilty plea revoked by court on day of sentencing

Magistrates' Court

Magistrates’ Court has revoked the guilty plea of a man who initially admitted to having a knife in a public place in December.

Jahni Darrell, 18, from Pembroke, was supposed to be sentenced Friday.

However, after reading a social inquiry report about him, the court did not accept Mr Darrell’s guilty plea and had it revoked.

Magistrate Tyrone Chin adjourned the case until July 10 and extended Mr Darrell’s bail until that time.
