A Canadian has denied bringing almost $1 million worth of cannabis into Bermuda.
Ngongo-Eric Sampassa, 31, also plead not guilty to having the drug with intent to supply when he appeared in the Supreme Court yesterday.
Both offences allegedly occurred on March 11 in St George’s. Prosecutors said the cannabis had an estimated value of $973,600.
The case will return to the Supreme Court on October 2, when a trial date could be set.
Mr Sampassa was remanded into custody until that time.
