Driver admits refusing breath test days after being banned from roads
A man refused to provide police with a breath sample on Saturday night — less than one week after being banned from driving on the island’s roads.
Kacy Greene, 24, admitted the offence, as well as to driving while disqualified, when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court today.
But Greene, from St George’s, denied assaulting three police officers and violently resisting arrest, also on July 22.
Prosecutor Nicole Smith told senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson that Greene was already disqualified for 18 months after pleading guilty to driving while impaired when he appeared in court last week.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson highlighted the seriousness of ignoring the court’s orders, adjourned the case until July 26 and remanded Greene into custody until that time.
