Man charged with causing GBH by driving
A man was charged last week with causing grievous bodily harm by driving under the influence of alcohol or a drug.
Larry Benjamin, 64, from Smith’s, was also charged with causing grievous bodily harm by driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
Mr Benjamin allegedly injured Tzare Gibson while driving on South Road, Warwick, on October 19, 2018.
As the charges must be heard in the Supreme Court, Mr Benjamin was not required to enter a plea.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson sent the case to the Supreme Court, where it will be mentioned on October 30, and released Mr Benjamin on $5,000 bail until that time.
