Man caught with drug equipment jailed for one week
A man who was caught with drug equipment has been jailed for seven days.
Eric Richardson, 32, admitted having the equipment when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that in May, Police informed Richardson, from Warwick, that he was in breach of his bail conditions in connection with other matters and began to handcuff him.
As they were doing so, the item, made out of steel wool, fell out of Richardson’s pocket.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson ordered that Richardson, who suffers from mental health and substance use challenges, serve his week in prison concurrent to the term he is currently serving for intruding on a woman’s privacy.
