Jewellery thief ordered to drug treatment court
A woman who stole more than $7,000 worth of jewellery from a Pembroke residence has been ordered to participate in a drug treatment court programme.
Kylah Stowe, 49, admitted stealing the jewellery, valued at $7,200, when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Stowe, of no known address, also pleaded guilty to stealing an unknown amount of jewellery from another property and $45 cash from a third. These residences were also located in Pembroke.
All incidents occurred between September 21 and November 13 this year.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson ordered that a social inquiry and drug use reports be written for Stowe and ordered that she observe drug treatment court beginning on November 21.
Stowe was remanded into custody until that time.
