Motorist fined and banned after collision in Sandys
A motorist who collided with a car last week has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
Brian Kidd, 36, admitted riding his bike while impaired by alcohol when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that Kidd, who lives in West Melbourne, Florida, struck the car after riding over the centre line on Mangrove Bay Road on November 7.
When speaking to Kidd, whose hands and feet were scraped during the collision, police smelt alcohol on his breath and saw that his eyes were red, and took him to the Hamilton Police Station.
In addition to being banned, Kidd was fined $1,500.
