Man caught with crack pipe in pocket
Police caught a man with a custom-made crack pipe in his pocket, a court was told yesterday.
Antonio Thompson, 47, admitted having the item when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that officers attended Thompson’s Hamilton Parish residence in connection with an unrelated matter on December 20, 2022 and found the pipe, made with mesh and a bottle, when they searched him.
Police seized the item, which contained trace amounts of cocaine, and took Thompson to the Hamilton Police Station.
Magistrate Maria Sofianos sentenced Thompson, who is currently serving a two-year prison term after admitting to a series of break-ins, to 30 days behind bars for the offence. All sentences will run concurrently.
