A man who crashed his bike in Sandys last month has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.

Ramiero Defaz, 42, admitted having care and control of the cycle while impaired by alcohol when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court heard that Defaz, from Sandys, began to fall asleep while officers were talking to him after the crash on November 10 and was then taken to Hamilton Police Station.

In addition to being banned from the roads, Defaz was fined $1,500.
