Motorist banned and fined for dangerous driving
A motorist who led police on a chase through four parishes has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
Izaiah Franks, 20, admitted riding her bike dangerously and not stopping for police when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court last week.
The court heard that police began following Franks, from Pembroke, after watching her speed and overtake several vehicles along Kindley Field Road.
Franks continued riding erratically on North Shore Road, reaching a speed of 90km/h at one point, but was stopped along Barker’s Hill in Devonshire.
In addition to being banned, Franks was fined $1,350 for the offences.
Magistrate Tyrone Chin fined Franks an additional $1,500 for having an uninsured vehicle, $300 for the bike being unlicensed and $500 for driving while disqualified, all on a previous date.
