Man sends threatening message to former partner

A man who threatened his former partner and her family will be sentenced in April.

Khalil Page, 20, from Sandys, admitted the offence when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court heard that the victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, called the police on January 13 after receiving a message from Page and learning that he was at her home.

Page’s message said the woman’s family was in danger and that he planned to “get gasoline and Hennessy together right now”.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson ordered a social inquiry report be written for Page, adjourned the case until April 12 and extended his bail until that time. Page was ordered not to contact the victim.
