Thief sentenced to drug treatment court
A man who stole from two businesses has been ordered to participate in a drug treatment court programme.
Raymond Robinson, 60, admitted stealing Burberry Hero perfume from Brown & Company and a package of boxer shorts from the MarketPlace when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Robinson, from Pembroke, stole the perfume, valued at $109, on December 23, 2023, and stole the boxers, valued at $9, on Saturday.
He also disobeyed written instructions barring him from entering the MarketPlace.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson ordered social inquiry and drug use reports be written for Robinson and ordered he observe drug treatment court beginning today. He was released on bail until that time.
