Motorist banned from roads for 21 months
A woman who almost struck a police car in Hamilton has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 21 months.
Kadae Hayward-Eve, 29, admitted driving without care and attention, driving dangerously and disobeying a traffic sign, when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that Hayward-Eve, from Devonshire, almost collided with police along King Street last August and was “boisterous and uncooperative” when officers questioned her after the incident.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson fined Hayward-Eve $1,000 for driving without due care, another $1,000 for driving dangerously and $150 for disobeying the sign.
Ms Anderson ordered Hayward-Eve to pay the fines before leaving court and disqualified her from driving all vehicles for 21 months — 18 for dangerous driving and three for disobeying the sign.
