A man who caused damage at Hamilton Police Station has been fined $1,500 in Magistrates’ Court.
Shane Todd, 48, admitted breaking a wooden frame at the facility when he appeared in court last month and reappeared yesterday for sentencing.
Todd, from Southampton, punched Plexiglas blocking him and the officers last July, breaking the piece holding it in place. The total cost of the damage was $450.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson gave Todd until August 30 to pay the $1,500 fine.
