A man who was found with a broken bottle has been sentenced to 30 days behind bars.

Delmari Scott, 40, admitted having the item in connection with drug misuse when he appeared in Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

The court heard that police found the bottle, which had wire mesh at the bottom, when they arrested Scott, of no known address, for an unrelated matter in November.

The item tested positive for cocaine at the police laboratory.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson ordered that Scott, who has previous convictions, participate in Drug Treatment Court throughout his 30-day sentence, beginning tomorrow.
