Man denies 65 counts of forgery

A man has been charged with 65 counts of forgery in Magistrates’ Court.

Peter Clark, 58, is accused of intending to present false cheques purportedly signed by another person as genuine, between January 2019 and June 2021.

Mr Clark, from Southampton, denied the offences when he appeared in court today and chose to keep the case in Magistrates’ Court.

Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case to October 21 and extended Mr Clark’s bail until that time.
