A woman who drove the wrong way down a street in Hamilton was fined $700.

Shaunagh Plummer, 38, admitted driving without due care and attention when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

The court heard that Plummer, from Devonshire, drove her car against the flow of traffic on Cedar Avenue on May 25.

Officers stopped her near Church Street and took her to Hamilton Police Station.

In addition to the fine, Plummer received eight points on her licence.
