Motorist sentenced to DUI Court
A man who crashed a bike in Pembroke has been ordered to take part in a drink-drivers’ court treatment programme.
Angel Atienza, 26, admitted having care and control of the bike while impaired by alcohol when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that Atienza, from Southampton, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after the crash, which occurred along Lane Hill on December 11.
Magistrate Maria Sofianos ordered reports to be written for Atienza and that he take part in DUI Court beginning on October 29.
She released Atienza on $1,500 bail until that time and disqualified him from driving all vehicles until further notice.
