Man denies attempted robbery

A man has been charged with attempting to rob someone of a gold chain.

Natrae Eversley, 22, was also accused of wounding the same person, Damien Ingemann, and having a “bladed or sharply pointed object” in public when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Mr Eversley, from Devonshire, denied the offences, which allegedly took place in an increased penalty zone in Pembroke on October 13, and chose to keep the case in Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrate Tyrone Chin adjourned the case to December 9 and released Mr Eversley on $4,000 bail with a surety until that time.

Mr Chin also ordered Mr Eversley not to contact Mr Ingemann, attend Hamilton Police Station twice a week and follow a 7pm to 7am curfew.
