Woman gets conditional discharge for assault
A woman who punched another female several times has been given a conditional discharge in Magistrates’ Court.
Ebony Parsons, 44, admitted assaulting the woman and damaging part of her car when she appeared in court yesterday.
The court heard that Parsons, from Sandys, approached the woman’s car, punched her and damaged the vehicle’s rain guard during an argument on June 8.
The victim, who eventually drove away from Parsons, sustained cuts and bruising.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson sentenced Parsons to a 12-month conditional discharge for the offences and ordered that she pay $401, the cost of the damaged rain guard, by December 2.
