Man denies stalking and threatening MPs
A man is accused of stalking a government minister and threatening to injure another MP.
Richard Foggo, 65, denied stalking Wayne Furbert, the Minister of Transport, when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court last month.
He also pleaded not guilty to threatening to punch Derrick Burgess, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly, when he reappeared in court yesterday.
Mr Foggo, from Hamilton Parish, allegedly stalked Mr Furbert between October 1, 2023 and October 21, 2024.
He reportedly threatened Mr Burgess on October 20 of this year.
Magistrate Auralee Cassidy adjourned both cases to December 9, ordered Mr Foggo not to contact the politicians and extended his bail until that time.
