Man denies owning and breeding pitbull-type dogs
A man was charged with seven dog-related offences in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Omar Wilson, 25, pleaded not guilty to keeping one female and two male pitbull-type dogs without a valid licence when he appeared in court.
Mr Wilson, from Paget, also denied keeping the dogs that it is alleged were “not acquired from a legitimate source”.
He pleaded not guilty to a charge that he bred and produced offspring from the female without a licence to do so.
The alleged offences occurred in Paget between an unknown date and November 28, 2023.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case to January 13 and released Mr Wilson on $7,000 bail until that time.
